Canada Day has come and gone, leaving us to reflect on how lucky we are to live in this great nation. One of the best things about our country is how many outstanding fashion and jewellery designers we have contributing to our distinctive Canuck style. A Manhattan-ite recently came into our Queen Street store looking for Canadian-made brands. She said Canadians have cooler street style than she sees in NYC – pretty awesome.
Buying Canadian means you’re wearing something unique that speaks volumes more about your personal style than the latest from a big-box retailer. Most importantly, you are supporting our small-but-mighty fashion industry.
We’re proud that our house label, Girl Friday, is designed and made in Toronto from start to finish. Here are other great Canadian brands that we carry.
The great thing about all of our Canadian lines? They won't break the budget!

BIKO – Handmade in Toronto, Vintage inspired jewelery with beautiful details!
Second Yoga Jeans – (Montreal) Feels like a yoga pant, looks like a jean! Honestly, just try them on. You’ve never felt jeans like these.
Soia & Kyo- (Montreal) One of the best things to come out of Montreal since Leonard Cohen. Soia & Kyo offers incredible outerwear (some still made in Canada). Incredibly stylish and very affordable, this is one of our staff and clients' favourites!
Dish – (Vancouver) One of our favourites, and best-selling lines. If you have a tough time finding denim that fits, Dish literally has a jean for everyone. But the best part? Almost every pair is under $100.
Gentle Fawn - (Vancouver)Hailing from Vancouver, this label is fun, youthful and well-made.
