New Arrivals: Erica Weiner

We just got a new shipment in from everyone's favourite New York Jewelery designer, Erica Weiner. Erica Weiner's designs are completely unique, vintage inspired, or actually incorporate vintage deadstock jewelery. All her pieces are brass, silver or 14 kt gold plated. We have been a long-time fan of her stuff and are always excited when we get more in. There are some great new arrivals, as well as some of our favourite pieces in store!

Sweaters under $200

We're back with our favourite sweaters, but this time we've upped the ante! Here's our favourite sweaters under $200. With beautiful patterns, lush fabrics (wools, alpalca's, cashmere and modal blends!) these sweaters are sure to be your favourites too. Plus they will keep you warm and cozy as the mercury drops!

Steph is wearing a deep sea knit sweater from Left on Houston $136. One of our favourite knit wear lines, you need to come check out the whole collection. Each piece is completely unique, completely beautiful and one you will want to wear for years.

Kelsey is wearing Left on Houston's "Continuum" sweater $190. Perfect for layering indoors, or as a jacket on a mild Fall day. This sweater is almost sold out, so if you like you'd better hurry!

Rachel chose a fantastic crop sweater from Free People $142. Who says winter has to be dull and boring. The chunky knit and crop style will add some spice to the winter blahs.

Becca also chose a Free People cape inspired sweater $152. Flowy and drapy, it will make you either want to curl up with hot cocoa, or throw on some tights and tall boots and take on the weather!

Sweaters under $100

We've each picked out our favourite sweater to bundle up in, and the best part is every sweater is under $100! There are so many great knits in store, that it was hard to pick just one, but at less than $100 a sweater, you won't have to choose!

Steph chose this gorgeous loop knit sweater from DEPT ($89). A great layering piece, it pairs perfectly with skinny jeans and motorcycle boots!

Kelsey chose this cute ski-lodge inspired sweater from Kensie ($68). It's super soft and perfect to cozy up with some hot chocolate next to a warm fire!

Rachel picked this textured knit cardigan also from Kensie ($78). A stylish cardigan like this is perfect to wear on its own, or a great way to transition lighter tanks into fall with layering.

Rebecca is wearing a Kensie blue knit open sweater ($88). Sweaters like this make great jackets on a mild Fall afternoon!

New Arrivals: Michael Kors

Michael by Michael Kors has been a staple at Girl Friday for quite a few years. We love the clean lines, luxurious fabrics and precision construction of the pieces. I still wear and love my very first Michael Kors purchase, a pair of ankle cigarette pants, and they still look like they are brand new! Fans of Michael Kors will be pleased as punch to know that this season they have brought their Canadian pricing down to reflect the current strength of our dollar.
