Our first shipment of Vancouver's Dish Jeans are on the floor. Our favourites are back for Spring 2012, including the Paris Fallon, Paris Savona, Siena Sterling and Jane Trouser jean. We are really excited though about the new styles in store for spring. We have a new dark, clean washed Paris, a vintage inspired high-rise flare, and everyone's favourite classic bootcut, Driver is back!
They have a jean for every body, and the best part is, Dish Jeans will only run you about $100 a pair. You don't have to break the bank to look fantastic in Denim.

The Paris is a slim straight leg, this time in a super dark classic rinse. The pockets have minimal detail, which I love! The sterling rinse is new for the Paris, and is a perfect denim for a slim style as the poly/cotton blend holds it's shape better than a typical lycra/cotton would.

These are the jeans that I'm the most excited about for the season. Flares have been slowly making their comeback, and these 70's inspired high-rise jeans are a nice departure from the skinnies we've been seeing everywhere. Pair them with a simple blouse tucked in, and some heeled boots or wedges for a truly 70's inspiration.

Driver is one of those classic jeans that you can always count on. They're like your best friend, they will always look good, they never go out of style and you will always love them.

The Sadie Ergo crop is back this year, this time in a rich earth-toned grey. The Sadie's are incredibly comfortable, and look great now tucked into boots, or in the summer with flat sandals.

The Deseray is a true flare. We love the super dark rinse of Belvedere, it is a great work jean, or for the sailor inspiration pair with a red and white striped blouse to really stand out.

After 10 fantastic years, our lease is up at our College Street location. With much deliberation, we have decided to close its doors and move on to a new future at Girl Friday. We would like to thank our loyal College Street customers... we love seeing your friendly faces in the neighbourhood, and we hope to continue to see you at our Queen Street location.

Girl Friday fans, rest assured, our Queen Street store is going nowhere! We will be a fixture in the West Queen West neighbourhood for a long time! Also, keep an eye out for our next endeavour, you never know where a new location may appear!

The Office Party:

You still want to have fun at the office party, but like anything tied to work, you need to have a modest amount of fun. This means keep the girls in and don't hike up that hem line too high. 2. Left on Houston chunky knit w/leather buckle $210. This wool/alpaca blend is mercanized, which means super soft wool (no itch!) and the textured knit is perfect with some leggings and boots!

What to wear to TIFF!

The city is buzzing! The Toronto International Film Festival is here again!!! Fashion and film go hand in hand, and we want you looking your best during the fest. We put together some great outfits for all the movie buffs and celebrity spotters!

At the movie:

Our first fall shipment of Dish Jeans has arrived, and it is looking amazing! The rinses are deep and luxurious, the washes subtle and sexy, it's hard to believe these jeans are under $100. Based out of Vancouver, Dish designs for real women, and we have a cut for every body. Check out their website or stop by the store and find your favourite pair (or two!).

It's the return of the Flare! Don't fret, you can still wear your skinnies, but flares are back with a vengeance! The Deseray is a relaxed flare with a wide cut thigh for extra room. We love it in the Sterling wash, paired with a blazer it's the perfect office jean!

Another great flared jean for fall! The Desi is a high-rise, wide bootcut. The higher rise is great for those who want to control the tummy, have a longer torso, or for those who love to tuck in shirts! Pair with some high wedges for a flashback to the 70's!

Siena is the perfect going out jean! A skinny bootcut, it is fitted until the calf, and has a small flare. It looks amazing with heels and boots, and the slight flare really shows off your curves!

The Siena also appears in our black Sullivan wash this Fall. The Sullivan is a cotton/lycra blend, and feels like heaven on the legs!

The Desi Straight is a classic cut. Higher rise, it is the same width from the knee to the ankle. It's a nice alternative to a skinny, and it's still narrow enough to tuck into a boot!

Sadie is the skinny cut from Dish. We have more of the full length skinnies on route, but the ergo crop is perfect for right now! It has gorgeous seaming and zipper detailing. Super cute with heels, or flats!

Catarina is a slim bootcut. A great every day jean, it can be dressed up or down.

Our Mini-Facelift!

Many of you may have noticed that our Queen Street location got a mini-facelift this week! Our old sign had served us well, and it was time to bring in the new! Our new sign was installed on Monday, and we LOVE it! The colour's and the girl friday logo couldn't look better! It's feminine and classic, and its a great reflection of the beautiful clothes we have inside the store! The mercury is rising fast! This means it's time to ditch the jeans and trade in for some hot new shorts for summer! We've picked our favourite styles to help you set your legs free!

Tess chose the Dept Dark Iron cotton shorts $79. Tessa loves this pair because the colour makes them easy to dress up or down, you can cuff them or wear them long, and the cotton is super soft and lightweight!

Symone's pick is thie lovely pair of Left on Houston khaki pleated shorts $108. The loose fitting fabric is a super soft blend, perfect for those hot summer days.
